About Us

The Central Iowa Expo (CIE) Board is a not-for-profit 501c-4 corporation established to provide over-sight and direction for the property.

Darrel Rensink, President of CIE during ground breaking ceremonies. The CIE Board consists of several key individuals from the Central Iowa area, with specific Board positions assigned to the founding organizations. The current board members are:

  • Steve Duffy - Boone County Supervisor
  • Bob Fisher - Boone's Future
  • Paul Heineman - Ag Business
  • Luke Nelson - City of Boone 
  • Gary Nystrom - Boone City Council
  • Kurt Phillips - Boone Chamber of Commerce
  • Kevin Cook - Ames Convention & Visitors Bureau
